After the fact is after the fact—second hand, You can flap your lips from the back seat of life, But if you want to have a say in where you're headed, the time will come when you have to drive, Put up or shut up, Take your seat at the table with the other players and call their blind, And if you do, If you put yourself in the hot spot, you'll find you were never quite sure of a thing, Up will stop seeming so obviously up, Down the same, the sky might suddenly seem red...or maybe green? And you might start to doubt whether the Sun really does rise in the East. So—what sane person would get out of bed, would do a thing but watch the seconds cry down the face of the clock like wasted tears? Maybe the answer is none...maybe some of us are stark mad—but. God damn it—some of us are willing to take that chance!
