Conversation, Mind, Soul

The mind and the soul engage in constant conversation. For some, they indulge in friendly banter, the soul lavishing praises on the mind's quick wit and judiciousness. For others, the mind and soul are warring constantly— the mind attempting to suffocate the soul and go rogue, the soul committing mutiny after too many transgressions, seeming all at once to explode. Sometimes intelligence is a curse, woe to he or she with the quicksilver mind that possesses that which outruns the soul, because at some point or another you will find that while you think it was you who got away with something You were actually left behind.
