I don't like to complain—some people have it worse.....they're not on a beach!—but I do have t -o admit something that sounds a far stretch from plain...the cigar in my guayabera weighs a ton and it's controlling me like a marionette puppet. I know this sounds absurd, but that's why I wrote it in this poem, because otherwise it would listen, but it's thankfully quite blind without a light to see by. Here's the bottom line: the only way to free me from this leafy tyrant is to distract it...with another cigar. Just any...well not any cigar. A good one. Just put it in my pocket there next to the other and you'll be my best friend forever—promise! Christopher Finiso
