Blessed Happy Indecisive Beach Palm Trees Love sons Good wine Gemini Peaceful Wife Good food Sun Love my boys Travel Kitties Colors Me: Mr. Chris Sparkles Travel Flowers Family Subbing for my mom's class of all the things she loves, or is, or thought of when I asked for three words to base her poem off of. Me, sitting on a stool, looking down at the whole bunch of them, some sitting cross legged and polite om the little town rug with the winding roads and the library and post office and fire department and homes. I'm only supposed to sub in for the morning until my mom gets here—keep the class from breaking out into total chaos—but they’re already drifting from the five columns and four rows I set them in: Sun is staring at Flowers (who seems to like it), but Happy is getting too excited and picking at Flowers (who doesn't care for this). Palm Trees is "WOOSHing"" and dancing near Sun with Beach who likes to spray lit and not say it. Wife is with her family talking about Travel (who's on the far side of the room with a smile) and feeling Blessed—What's not clear about the NO TOUCHING RULES—Sparkles and Kitties are running around the room, which is very cute, but rules are rules. Good Food is rummaging through the snack cabinet and Good Wine has quickly gone from tastefully tasting her juice and saying 11 just have one," to running around half-naked and shouting, tossing empty cartons and...oh, I'm definitely making her change her color card. At least I can count on Peaceful to stay put and relax, and Indecisive and Gemini I can count on to stay put for now while they try and try to decide on their little plot. And finally, there are Love Sons and Love My Boys—I could swear they could be twins, and boy are they big—I can tell they have important parents...And I look at my phone...and I look at my watch...and I look at the clock...but I stop. I laugh. Mrs. Sheryl is not on her way: Mrs. Sheryl is already here! Mrs. Sheryl is all over this page!
