Lucky Number 5, Year of the Monkey-Fish

Your lucky number is 5, the year is 2025, the number of the year is 5. Your sign in Pisces. You arrived in the year of the Monkey. From just these spare key-strokes, your texture appears. You keep your name like a secret in a golden locket that swings from your neck from a fine beam of light woven into the suggestion of a chain. Is it this presence that hangs in the air, swinging in time with the beating of your heart that produces these lines by a powerful hypnosis? Rising the tides in my mind to crash meaning on these pages like waves sacrificing them to the glittering page of the shore in the night? Or is it yours? Your presence, which will linger like sage smoke when your apparition lingers on only in my mind's eye when you have fled with purged pent up impressions. Again, I will breathe, steady. I will imagine your steps heading across sweeping scapes and devotion's barren plains of righteous pain, I will feel you pulling my unravelling thread, what I've given you in tenderness swaddled, at your mercy, in your arms, as you step step step deftly along the Camino de Santiago to the sea. Each church and monastery will bow devout for the stamp of your glance as you go, and slowly you will approach that liminal place between this life and the next, and you will lay my worries from your chest into the blue-shimmering-gold of the sun-set, and what was of me, now yours as you please, will swim in the ocean and swing from failing rays in the near-bled sky like a fish and a monkey, with the hopes we've borne together for our lives and the lucky number 5.
