Love, Joy, and Freedom—what more can you want? If you're a poet that feeds on words, chews them like an old Cuban man chews his cigar the livelong day, you want more, you want different, you want new flavors and scents to get high on and digest...and here you've come, like a master chef, with one more course for me to consider, Roxane, you've brought me brutality. I feel you in my bones now and I've only just felt your air... Are you a dictator or a despot at heart? Or are you described by those first three words but only almost. You needed to hammer it down. You love hard, you grasp all the joy at your fingertips. You do each and every thing you decide as a brutal, defiant act of freedom, oh yes, you do.
