This bottle of glass and irreplacable contents Was fragile before it tipped and began to fall From up on high The closer to oblivion it goes The more time seems to slow And, reflective, I watch myself staring back at so many memories from the bottle's reflecting glass There is all the time in the world And no time at all before the big splash Before the too-sharp shards each go their own way I can reach it in time, if I try But I can't keep it from falling alone Should we wait for the inevitable? Won't you give me your hand?
