A genuine smile lives in the eyes and, in faith, so does all else of human consequence, If she is enthusiastic, her irises. will tell it in their concentric fire, If she is encouraging, her very spirit will shine through to you, even if you wait in shame like Jonah, lurking amongst the slime on the Ocean bottom—as the Sun shimmers through the surface granting gentle light to the sands undisturbed—even so will her confidence warm you to life, If she is resilient, the passion of her every look will pierce through your heart like a blood-hungry blade—her lids will refuse to fall in surrender until her battle is fought and won—until she has seen the whole war through. And if she is the Yvette I see with my own bewildered poet eyes... Then by God, she is the regal sovereign of all three of this trinity of powers, and my eyes greet her with a smile.
